Call for speakers

We would like to take this opportunity to put a call out for speakers. If you want to talk to attendees about your thoughts and experiences regarding Summon and  information literacy then we’d love to hear from you.

We are also looking for people to share their expertise by actually teaching attendees information skills using Summon (i.e. treating attendees as you would your library users) as part of a series of lightning sessions.

Please contact us at to register your interest by 16:30 BST on 3rd July 2013.

*Edit* We still have space for speakers so check out our updated post here and get in touch!

Come one, come all!

The 2nd UK Information Literacy & Summon Day

25th July 2013 @ Manchester Metropolitan University

Whether you’re about to implement Summon, have just done so, or are an old hand at this sort of thing, you’ll have thought about how using web-scale discovery impacts on your information literacy teaching. Have you hardly changed your approach or have you had a radical rethink?

Stay tuned for registration details and a call for speakers!

Manchester Metropolitan University is within easy travelling distance of Manchester Airport and we’d warmly welcome librarians from Ireland and Europe to attend.

The day will build on the successful 2012 event held at Sheffield Hallam University:
